LOS ANGELES, Sept. 1, 2010 – Prominent buildings around Los Angeles turned blue in support of Blue September. The iconic Capital Records Building, the Roosevelt Hotel, Paramount Studio’s Melrose Gate and Water Tower and the historic Ramada West Hollywood were all illuminated with blue light, providing a unique view of the familiar Los Angeles skyline.

Blue September is an awareness and fundraising campaign created to get men to face up to prostate cancer. The goal is to change attitudes and behaviors towards prostate cancer whilst raising funds for The Prostate Cancer Research Institute.

At the Capitol Records Building, LA Councilman Tom LaBonge presented a Proclamation from the City of Los Angeles to PCRI’s Dr. Mark Scholz and Joe Bueno in support of the Blue September Movement.
