Conference 2005

Conference Overview

Walk-ins Bring Attendance to 800 = Success

National Conference on Prostate Cancer 2005 – Exploring New Pathways: Sharing the Journey”

June 16-19, 2005 – Thursday – Sunday
Omni Shoreham Hotel
Washington, D.C.

The PCRI would like to congratulate the Foundation for Cancer Research and Education (FCRE) and UsTOO for a successful National Conference on Prostate Cancer. Despite disappointing early registrations, over 200 “Walk-ins” brought the audience to 800 “ravenous” attendees who were “hungry” for the latest information on prostate cancer. Their appetites were satisfied by the 21 speakers who provided a mouth-watering spread of “food for thought”.

For those who were unable to attend, the full conference was video-recorded and is available on DVDs through the FCRE website.

While PCRI was regretfully forced to discontinue its role as a full Partner in the Conference, we continued to support the event by producing the program, preparing the Syllabus and providing for the pre-conference registration.

Foundation for Cancer Research and Education (FCRE) and Us TOO International share with PCRI a dedication to educating the public about prostate cancer, pursuing research into the prevention and treatment of prostate cancer, and improving the level of care for men with this disease.
