  Memorial and "Gift in Honor" Contributions

A "Gift of Remembrance" or “Gift in Honor” to the Prostate Cancer Research Institute is a special way for individuals, organizations, businesses and groups to pay tribute to someone while supporting the Prostate Cancer Research Institute's mission.

With each memorial or "gift in honor" contribution received, an announcement letter is sent. Please include the name and address of the person you would like to be notified of your contribution. The amount given is never indicated in the announcement letter. The donor will also receive an acknowledgment letter. It is PCRI's policy to acknowledge all memorial and "gift in honor" contributions promptly after receipt.

  Donate an Automobile

Unwanted vehicle? Don’t Trade In! Donate to us.

Now you can donate your vehicle to our program. Click on the “VEHICLE DONATION” icon or call 877-999-8322 for full details. If you itemize your deductions, you are entitled to receive a Tax Deduction equal to what the vehicle is sold for by the agent. You will receive a tax receipt stating the sale price within a few days of the sale of your vehicle. If the vehicle is sold for less than $500, you can deduct the fair market value up to $500. Be sure you check with your tax advisor for current IRS regulations. You can donate ANYTHING! cars, truck, airplanes, boats – any vehicle can be donated. The vehicle must be worth enough to cover the cost of towing and processing. While you will receive the tax deduction for any vehicle accepted, PCRI will only receive funds if your vehicle is sold for more than the total handling costs (usually $250 or more).

  Combined Federal Campaign

Federal employees and retirees participating in the Combined Federal Campaign can designate their contribution to the Prostate Cancer Research Institute. We are affiliated with the Health and Medical Research Charities, CFC.

If you are an employee of the state of California, you can donate to the Prostate Cancer Research Institute as a "nonaffiliated beneficiary agency."

  United Way of the Bay Area Campaign

PCRI is listed in the United Way of the Bay Area Campaign brochure. The Bay Area Campaign incorporates the counties of Marin, Contra Costa, Alameda, San Francisco and San Mateo. Please direct your contribution to the Prostate Cancer Research Institute.

  Giving Through the United Way In Other Areas

If you contribute to a local United Way campaign through payroll deduction, your local United Way Chapter may allow you to direct a portion of your contribution to an organization such as the Prostate Cancer Research Institute.
